I was a member of a motorcycle club and I hated it, It was run by a bunch of nerds that had no idea how to have fun, their idea for fun is to ride to a stupid bike meet and park ur bike there all day just to show ur bike off to everybody else, my idea for fun is to spend all day riding, stopping at unknown bar out in the middle of nowhere and maybe busting some heads and meeting some sexy women.

I wasnt really into the idea of joining a motorcycle club, but that Southern Cruisers club does look pretty cool. No dues, any model bike welcome, no strict attendance policy or anything. Might check out one of their meetings this spring.

Not to be critical, but I don't know that you've been looking very hard. There are so many motorcycle clubs that are just basic riding clubs, that they are too numerous to list. I don't see many clubs that are focused on drinking at bars as their main entertainment. I would definitely shun any club like that and not ride with'em. I'm a member of a gay men's motorcycle club. So admittedly, it is exclusionary to a certain extent, but there are so many clubs around that are really great, including Christian clubs (I know a couple of guys who are members and they say they have a lot of fun). In our club outing we go tent camping mostly, but other destinations too. So, I don't feel that I am 'obligated' to do something, but really look forward to it. :)

I'm not saying that's a bad thing, in fact it's a good thing. But don't join a group like A.B.A.T.E. if your looking for a riding or a social club.
That's not quite accurate, although some ABATE chapters try to behave like a M/C which is a completely different animal (Which seems odd to me since some ABATE chapters are known to have various M/C members in it). The last one in my general area that put on like they were an actual M/C (the kind of club that earns their patch) got straightened out hard by the local dominant M/C. I'm thinking that they won't do that again.

In the boonies there nothing but corn, soybeans, cattle, hog confinments and tons of bars.

The only open club I can find is a AA riding club. There are tons of clubs that ride to drink and not to ride for regular fun in the boon docks. Its a price of country living like gravel on every damm road.

It should be mandatory to put your age and location in your info. That way would have some some slight hope of being able to offer you constructive advice instead of just shooting blindly and hoping some tidbit of information works out.
