first accident
Re: first accident
Dropped mine about two weeks ago doing 1MPH in a gas station. Woman didn't like the lane she was waiting in so she decided to cut me off just as I was pulling in.Marauder wrote:Layed it down doing about 15mph, I hit some gravel during a corner and before you know.... No real damage to the bike just a scuffed up gas tank, bent clutch lever and footpeg. As for myself I'm no worse for the wear thanks to some quality gear. Dress for the CRASH not for the ride.
Scrapped up me knee and banged my elbo. Just now getting back to normal. (if you can call this normal.

Another thing that will get you is an oils slick when you're coming to a stop. I hit one once that put me and the bike on the ground. The bike didn't when It was supposed to so I hit the curb low speed and down she went. I had a camera around my neck and it broke 2 ribs cause it ended up between me and the ground. Ouch.

Re: first accident
"HECK"?, I gave her hell. And what does she say? "I didn't do anything". Then she takes off as I'm hopping around on one foot.blues2cruise wrote:Youch.....I hope you gave her heck.Bubba wrote:Dropped mine about two weeks ago doing 1MPH in a gas station. Laid the Vulcan down for the first time, I was riding in bikini briefs on a lost bet. Doing about 25 or 30 mph. Luckily no damage to me or the bike.
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?
