I had a spontaneous reboot problem with one of my previous computers, spent forever and a day trying to resolve it as a software issue and realized finally that it was leaking caps. Had the MOBO re-capped and everything was fine...
what the heck is a leaking cap as it pertains to computers?

I think he means that some motherboards had a problem with leaking capacitors due to cheap electrolyte which can cause several hardware problems like instability.
If this is the reason, you had to recap the mobo?

6:50 pm of day 2 of "the sieze". The server has been up and stable for 2 hours. Running backup with the quickness and hoping it goes. New server on order. Hopefully this backup ends in the next couple hours and I can go home. 32 gigs down, 60 to go.
Thanks for all the kind words and reading my griping.
