Getting Bike Painted - Problems

I agree with everyoner else, pick up the bike. The fact that 2 months nearly 3 has passed and they havent so much as touched the bike is a sure sign they are putting it off while completing other jobs, dont stand for it, get your bike back take it elsewhere. Thats a really nice gixxer there by the way.

I can't believe this is still a discussion, it should be an update saying that you've got your bike back and have taken it to a painter that will actually do the work, instead of just stare at the unpainted parts.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

He painted it thisweekend. The only C50 that is Olive pearl around here. Looks cool.

meh, i wouldnt of even let him paint the bike, after waiting that long and then showing he could have done it at any time... he didnt deserve your money.

Yeah, I'm glad you're happy, dude; but I would have taken back my parts and rather waited, supporting a painter that is into servicing thier customers.

Well it is almost April and the Bike is in his shop in the same spot I dropped it off on Jan. 3rd! I keep asking, when will it be done, I get.
" I'm real busy" blah, blah, blah. etc.

I don't want to be an A**h**e to the guy, but how long should I wait. Plus he never returns call and never seems to be in the shop. All I get from the other workers there is" Soon" or "your next".
I probably will just pick the bike up this weekend, and figure he just didn't really want the work. Anyone run into this? How to find good shops?

Go over and get your bike and take it home. Find someone else to do the work and hold them to a time.

He finally painted it? I would have stiffed the bastrd.
