thanks all!! yeah this bike is dead mint. the previous owner had this kept in a climate controlled garage with a few classic cars. the garage was nicer than many people houses i am not kidding. he took great care of it.
IAN, yes I am going to be doing just that. i'd really like to go take it again really. it's been 9 months since i took it.
Nice!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you end up paying?
I'm looking for something like that and am just curious.

NICE.
I have an 06 spirit 750 in orange.
Took a minute to get used to it, it's not the bikes in the MSF classes-
but only a minute. It's not that powerful once you get used to it.
But it's a fun ride and you'll enjoy your time on it.

Thanks again all. MAKER: i bet your ride looks hot in orange!
OK. bought a helmet today. a Z1R ZRP-1 Strike in white as it has gotten a lot of favorable writeups. I hadn;t planned on a full face, but after reading the forum, decided it was best for me at least now. tried a Lg, and XL in the store. went back and forth a bunch of times and did all the tests. ended up with the Lg. snug fit. not uncomfortable. took my time deciding.
took the bike for a 30+min ride this afternoon which was the first real ride i've taken on this machine and it was just AWESOME! i live in the country hills of VA and there was not many cars on the road. lots of nice rolling hills and sweet turns. got to test my ability with a house where 3 dogs ran after me. did what i learned in MSF. worked like a charm. had to slow for a squirrel and a rabbit. but otherwise very uneventful.
I LOVE this bike. very nice ride. got it up to 65 on some straightaways in a 60 mph zone. but stayed conservative.
if the weather is nice tomorrow, i'll take her out for a bit longer.
ROCK!!!

I wouldn't worry so much about the power. I went from the 250 in the MSF course to an 1100 with no problem. The thing to watch out for is the weight difference. It took a while to get use to the difference in turning and low speed handling. Congrats. Looks like a nice bike.
