Prefer solo. My wife does ride too and I enjoy riding with her but my pace alters a bit.

I don't mind a small group sometimes. 10 or more bikes is past a small group.

I did a large group ride at a charity event once. It will not happen again. I prefer to ride. Not to deal with the logistics and slow progress of this large of group.
I would be the old, slow guy. Just let me know where you are going and I'll try to get there before you leave.

When I asked my pal why he bothered with such large groups, he said it was like having guaranteed parts and repair customers on Monday morning
That's just wrong! Muhahaha. :teehee:

Dare I ask if that is one of the local shops? :)

Nope. Not local, but I wouldn't be surprised if the owners of the local shops didn't have similar views. Quite a few of them organize regular group rides to the mountains up north.

I like both solo and small group riding. I gained a lot of valuable experience riding with some larger groups and their idea of a "safe" ride.
I don't ride with them anymore.

None of my friends ride motorcycles, and I only know of one guy who ever use to own one... then again he was unlicensed, never took the msf, and crashed his zx-7 pretty early in his riding career and that was the end of that lol!

I've been with up to 4 other random bikes we kinda rode with eachother until we had to go our seperate ways... that wasn't so bad. I've never been in a large group or rally... but I doubt I'd enjoy that at all... to many variables, waiting or trying to catch up with the main group... etc etc etc.

I guess i'm a solo rider... but I think sharing the road with a close friend or two would be great!

I put solo, but I ride more often with one other rider. I don't really classify two riders as a group. I will occaisionally ride in a large group but it's not my favourite thing to do....

I prefer riding solo or with one other rider. Groups of 2 or 3, maybe even 4 (besides me) are fun once in awhile, but I try to avoid anything larger than that.

Cheers,
