New to the site and riding

15 years ago my now husband and I were at the beginning of our relationship. .......Anyway he took me for my first ride going 130 miles an hour, and scared the c*** out of me. ........I don't know why it took me so long to realize bikes aren't bad.

The reason it took you so long to like motorcycles was because your "now husband" was a "then jackass".....

Welcome and it sound like you and I have the same motorcycle. I'm recently back into cycling myself from decades ago. Mines black.

Mines black too. I think it's beautiful, with just enough power for me. I will never need or get a bigger bike, because I'm only 5ft. 1in. I can just reach the ground now! LOL!

Ah gotta love the Vulcan 500 and its engine! Although... maybe I'm partial since our two bikes share the same engine

Welcome to TMW! Oh, and that story was just awesome... cool how things turned around and now you are enjoying life in a new way!

I know I love how it runs and sounds. It's smooth and powerful enough to keep up with hubby. I absolutely love the weekend rides. It's quickly becoming a family tradition now. I also have noticed how addicting riding can be, and how every time I hear a bike now I instinctively turn to see what kind of bike it is.
Hubby says I am becoming a true biker very fast, and then he laughs.
