My comm system has something similar. The only issue is that some portable music players don't have the power to give you enough volume to hear the music at speed. Then again, $20 isn't that bad and if it doesn't work a headphone amplifier isn't that expensive.

There's a motorcycle radio station called "The Ride" in Charlotte, N.C. that's totally awesome. Never heard anything like it. It was great cruising the Smokies as long as I was in range. Wish there was one like it locally here.
