I love going to the south for the same reason jonnythan mentioned.

I'll have a coke?

What kind?

Do you have to actually say Coca Cola?
No. No one says that.

Generally, when someone asks what kind of coke you want, you can respond with "coke" or "just coke" or "regular coke" and you get a Coca-Cola Classic.

Thanks for the welcome and that is my favorite thing to notice people's reactions to.

"Pop? I don't think we have any pop."

Hi Elizabeth, WMU grad here, Central sucks!

It'd be nice to have a motorcycle up there though, lots of open road.

In Spanish they say "Refresco" which translates to "Refreshment" and if you ask for a "Coca" you get coke classic.

Now American coke is strange to me because in Mexico they use sugar instead of fructose/corn syrup and it tastes a heck of a lot better with real sugar.

Hey, is Canadian coke like American coke or Mexican coke?

Canadian soft drinks use real sugar.

American ones don't because tariffs on imported sugar make it more expensive or something.

Depends. If you ask for Coca in some neighborhoods, you might not end up with a soft drink.

It's Coke.

And here in Japan, it's either Koka Kura or Koku

Hello and welcome! I enjoyed reading your post - you sound like a fun girl.

Pop is what I call it but then if you want a soda water you would never ask for pop water...hmmm...:humm:

Andrea :)
