I'm happy to see another Harley rider here, too. I sure hope this isn't one of those forums where Harleys are constantly bashed. I'd hate to have to start comparing odometer readings just to prove a point and dispel some of the myths.

Nice photo.
Is that a self-fabbed sidecar, or was that from a factory? (the front shape and headrests look like they might be from a weekend project, not that that's a bad thing)

Hmmm... I'm not sure if I should feel insulted by that or not.
The sidecar is factory made and it looks a little odd because, well, because it was made in the Ukraine back in 1979. They weren't exactly at the leading edge of motorcycle technology back then. I'm not sure what you meant by headrest, but if you're talking about that large rounded black shape on the rear deck of the sidecar, that is a Willie&Max travel trunk I've mounted there.

Heh, yeah.. I was trying to put that as tenderly as possible. I was steering away from the word 'hobby', but I guess it all comes out the same.
My point, I guess, was that it doesn't look like a 'modern' production, but that it didn't look like it was a hundred years old either. But, you gotta admit, the way the front end is shaped- You could do that with some fancy woodcutting and paint, not like alot of moulded plastic sidecars. (No, no, that wasn't supposed to be an insult either
)

Hi Mike,
Those are some nice pictures you have! Your puppy is so adorable. Does he have a seatbelt??? (I have no clue as to how a dog would "hold on"....)
You should also post your photos in the photo galleries. That way everyone can see them, rather than just the people that come in to this thread.
