Well, a new helmet and visor are on their way. Sucks I have to spend $160 I didn't plan on this month, but I'm sure that's cheaper than the ER bill had I not been wearing it

Poor honey. Why do our bikes like to fall to the left?

We already discussed the helmet thing.
Because the natural motion when stopping is to lean the bike ever so slightly to the left to put the left foot down while the right foot is on the brake.

I believe I was trying to stop (ie, put my left foot down) when I ran out of road, that would be why I was leaning to the left.

But I don't use the rear brake, espcally if I am making a turn. But that might be him. For me I was making a left turn so it makes sense that everything happened to the left. Chuckle.

lol..if it makes you feel better, I laid my sportster down yesterday by accident just sitting on it in the driveway...leaned it a little too much to the right as I was pulling in to park...fortunately for me though, the foot pegs were down and i was able to pull it back up before it really hit the ground and scratched up my nice chrome pipes...i didn't realize how heavy the bike was till yesterday...

good to hear that you're ok though..

It was really a minor wreck but that's because of your equipment ;) I won't bring a word bout the helmet :whistling:

Take good care :)

IcyHound and I went on an early morning ride (6-8am), a nice 50 or so mile round trip with a bit of shopping half-way. I had no trouble with the ride - thankfully the slip 'n slide didn't ruin my confidence any Image
