it sounds loke its a lifter ??
By lifter I assume you mean valve lifter... that's just a spring, bad valves make a tapping noise, "tap tap tap tap tap." Or, "ticka ticka ticka ticka."
If it's the top end and grinding... I'd say cam chain, still.
