Yep, pointless. Gas should actually be fine for a couple months. Three weeks is nothing. Like I said, use Stabil if you want to feel good about it. I think your bike is FI, but if it has a carb just turn the fuel off, then run the engine till it stalls out to clear the float bowls.
ya, its fuel injected.

this other guy told me to use stabil but also to fill it up all the way(full tank).....and when i get back, drain the gas)

watta u think?

I agree with filling the tank all the way up. I don't think you will have to drain it if you are only going to leave it 21 days.

If you do not fill it up, there is the possibility that condensation can build up on the parts of the tank that are exposed to air inside the tank. Water can inhibit rust, and also cause the bike to run like garbage if enough develops. After 21 days though, I'm not sure it will.

Fill the tank all the way up, put some Stabil in it, and give it a kiss on the cheek before you leave.

I got one bike that sat w/ 1/2 tank of gas for 22 yrs. Had to use drill to open up hole for petcock, Muratic acid to clean rust. Most rusted tank I ever saw.
