Why not WAIT? Since it is obvious you don't really know WHAT you want, just yet.
For now, take the MSF, find a decent USED motorcycle that you can pay cash for (and will cost you WAAAAY less to insure, etc.) and ride that for a year or so.
THEN, once you've got this riding thing down on an actual motorcycle, you will be better able to judge truly how much acceleration is "not enough" and what is really important. Buying new costs SOOO much money in insurance, in interest, in lo$$ if/when you decide you "need" to upgrade or switch bikes in a year.
Keep in mind, you're buying your FIRST motorcycle, not your last. Many folks realize that what they thought they wanted (before they really began riding) isn't what they REALLY want. Buying something to 'grow into' works for a computer, but not very well for a motorcycle.
