The links are all buried in Flash. No way to dig them out without a Flash editor.

It's pretty anticlimactic to the point of beeing kind of funny how the pillion works, once you see it.

The bike is listed under the Softails, btw. So maybe they are Softails, and have a rear suspension, so those seats won't feel quite as painful as they look.

This here is probably the Harley I'd buy if I was ever to buy a Harley, which is highly unlikely.

One thing I noticed while rolling over the Softail list and comparing is that the Rockers have a shallower rake than the other bikes. More chopper-like. That might mean the frames are more different than if they were all just Softails. So the suspension might be different. Or missing. Dunno.

The Rocker is definitely a Softail. It's not a hardtail. H-D would be totally nuts to put out a hardtail bike.

The pics make it look awfully convincing. I can't wait to see one at the local shop.

The thing about Harley's that can't be said about too many production bikes is that this one will still be cool 50 years from now. They just have a way of catching that timeless look in many of their bikes. I also like how they used the tank of the Deuce that this seems to have replaced.

I talked to one guy that said the pre-order list is filling fast for the Rocker. I like the style, but I'm not sure the price premium is nessesary compared to the Street Bob or the Nightrain.

You can see more photos of the H-D Rocker (and Rocker C which looks even more radical) right here in bigger photos (1600x1280 desktop sized!): http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/2008models.htm

Enjoy,

Mike

The big 240mm rear alone will make it a big seller. It makes people's butt look smaller.

 I am NOT going to ask you why or how you figured that one out. :humm:

I don't like it. The proportions seem wrong somehow.

the Rocker is growing on me each day; I'm looking forward to seeing them roll out into the dealerships. I like the queues that HD is taking from the custom industry. The Nightster and the Rocker are great steps forward. Personally the new "Fat Bob" does nothing for me, the dual headlight just looks odd and messes up the lines of the bike.
