Grip your bike with your legs, keep your arms loose and weight off of the handlebars, and wear earplugs.

A bigger bike isn't going to help. It would seem like it would, for example I thought the exact same thing when moving up from my 200cc to my 600cc, but there is absolutely no difference. Yes, it lugs better through the wind, but the insane winds aren't going to go away. Wearing ear plugs makes a big difference.vladmech wrote:Yah I figure I'll get a bigger bike next summer and it should solve a lot of the problems.
After a couple days of freeway riding I'm definitely noticing it less now, however, which is quite nice.
I use just regular old disposable ear plugs from the local hardware store. I've purchased all kinds of ear plugs but there is no noticeable difference.vladmech wrote:Yah, last couple of days I've dropped speed by only 5ish mph and it makes a noticable difference. I also found I was tensing my arms a lot, and after relaxing a bit it's not nearly as bad.
What sort of earplugs do you guys use when riding, and are they legal in CA?
