The outdoor shops here sell an antibacterial spray for your socks and sleeping bags and stuff.

We use it on our jacket linings and helmets. It is so hot here most of the time, we sweat. We marshaled a walk 2 weeks ago. 40 000 people and we had to stand around a lot at junctions in full ATGATT and 25 deg C. You can get smelly if you are not carefull.

Which is why I use AXE in the shower and then some antiperspirant along with some Giorgio Armani cologne. I smell good even when I'm kinda sweaty plus it would transfer to my gear as well so it's a win.

My HJC helmet hasn't gotten funky smelling on me which is kinda weird. My Nolan would get some funk if my hair was wet but my HJC seems to still have that Styrofoam smell. For the Nolan I would use Febreeze, Lysol Air Sanitizer and well my hair gel smells quite nice as well...

I Just let mine become reekingly pungent of eau de rosco.

You know the people that mess with your gear? Kids.. people who dont ride but show up at the house anyway... they usually get it about 10 inches from their head and change their mind about putting it on.

Actually, only the cheek pads come out in mine, so i febreeze the hell out of it on occasion. And i just washed my jacket last night. It's currently hanging inside out on a kitchen chair.

There is some stuff called helmet fresh. You can google it. It is even non-toxic!!!

i didn't even know that helmets had noses.

Thanks everyone, I actually took the pads out, washed them in the washer, then I let them air dry. Sprayed a little febreeze inside the helmet, and its good to go! Thanks!

and p.s., i bought a few bandanna's now!
