Personally I agree with iwannadie. Suppose that person doing 60MPH in the 35MPH zone is going to see her dieing husband in the hospital? Suppose the young man's wife is in labor? What if their sick father had just called to tell them "if you want to see me alive again - get here now"? What they are doing is still wrong though.

Dont get me wrong I do get mad at the disregard for safety, but in my experience it is best to wish them good luck than to get irritated yourself. Just ask yourself this question when Joe Nobody drives past at 80MPH on the highway.... Do YOU drive better irritated or calm?

I actually do think about this one a lot, believe it or not, and it's probably one of the bigger things that keeps me from being like that to everyone who blows past me.

look at it this way. There are to many people on this planet already. if someone wants to be stupid that just leaves all the resources they would of used for the rest of us. Cold, but accurate.

I'm going to carry rocks in my pocket. If someone gets to close I'll casually flip it up over my shoulder at them.

Stupid woman on her cell phone yesterday had me wishing I had a boulder. She finally passed me on the right (illegally) and I smacked her mirror, she quickly pulled over after that. I went by her and put my middle finger in her face.

Thats when I saw the look of intense fear. I think she finally got the message.

I'm not a bully, but if someone is threatening my life or someone else's out of ignorance or plain stupidity then I will give them a wake up call, and I am big guy, and before someone says that I'm not bullet proof, I've found that if a confrontation gets that serious opening my jacket and showing my gun first will intimidate even the biggest o ring.

I really am fed up. That woman followed me with in a foot or two of my rear tire for 2 miles, when I slowed down so did she, I even waved at her to back off, no difference. She won't soon forget me tho.

I think I need an anger management course. At this point I'd probably just end up choking the instructor.

Crazy people keep it exciting. I remember one time I was driving my 4x4 through the Sierra Nevada Mountains (A large mountain range in Norther Californian and Nevada). The roads were totally iced over and I was plodding along driving at around 35 mph. This guy in a 2wd pickup went by me at about 70 mph. I was only about 21 (this was about 15 years ago). Well I thought, "Man, this guy really knows his stuff, but I better just drive at my own skill level". Well about 10 minutes later I pulled over and helped some other motorists drag his wrecked truck out of ditch. They life flighted him out (never found out if he made it). He was all jacked up and I drove on to my destination.

I guess the point is, these guys have a habit of removing themselves from the gene pool, the best thing to do is pull over and help pick up the body parts when they bite it.

Riding in traffic is a necessary evil I try to circumnavigate whenever possible. It seems like no amount of "slightly faster than flow" is enough to keep them off my tail anymore, so I leave big space in front and accelerate into it when they get too close behind. I watch for cell phones, lighting (or throwing) cigarettes, fixing hair in the mirror, messing with the kids, old guys with hats (sorry John  ), old ladies looking through the steering wheel, teens in groups...whoa, I guess I need to watch the road, too! Nah, I know where it is. The escape route is my biggest concern until the final escape to the country road.

I happen to know the people on doing this stupid stuff. Doing anything, even if it's subtle will probably wind up landing me in prison one way or the other. One of those idiots happens to be the son of the DA, and is probably hanging out with a bunch of other stuck up fancy panced rich kids. Last time I messed with him, I wound up in Juvie for 3 months, and all I did was gave the @$$hole a black eye. This kind of stuff isn't worth it, unless you happen to be the rich one, in this case, I'm not.
