It probably wont even matter that I had a Ninja 250 with no incidents right? Even so..

hell na. I was looking up insurance quotes for me and they are not going to change (assuming I've had no tickets or accidents) until I'm around 22 or something, which is in 4-5 years.

My insurance for my 2005 FZ6 is $1250/year at age 17, M2 license for 1 year, Drivers license for 2 years, no tickets and accidents.

In most states in the US, your insurance will not drop if you are male until you are 25, unless you get married. Sometimes you can get a "good student" discount though I don't know if that applies to motorcycles.

Hes right. Wait until the right time to upgrade, when you have enough money and riding experiance to fall back on. In the meantime...have fun and ride the wheels off that 250, they are great little bikes.

In some it goes down when your 23. I think thats up to the policy of the insurance company though. Some companies will give you a "good student" discount as well as a discount for the MSF course. It's still expensive if your under that cutoff.

There are exceptions on min. wages for workers under 18 and also workers who get below 20 hrs a week as well as some OTJ training, and seasonal help. Also lower wages (about 20%) if job intails tips (waitresses, bartenders ETC) So at his age he probably fell into one of these loopholes!

Also, minimum wage varies by state. Here in MA I believe it's about 7.75/hr. The federal minimum wage is still hovering below 6/hr. So really, minimum wage is set by the feds, and it can be raised (but not lowered except for special cases), by the states individually.

The federal minimum wage is currently $5.85 an hour, though some states have set higher ones.

It was $5.15 before July of this year, will raise to $6.55 in July 2008 and to $7.25 in July 2009.

Not sure but isn't the minimum wage for minors less?
