lol rode Friday and the heated gloves didnt work right. found the connection on the battery side has some corrosion on it. cleaned it out and now I got some battery gaurd im gonna spray in their when I get a chance. Hopefully that will keep the corrosion down.
Saturday I had my nieces and we went to apple bees and to my sister-in-laws house. I had to ride the motorcycle (darn I was so upset lol) cause I dont have enough room for My wife, 4 children, 2 nieces and myself. So I took my 6 yr old with me on the bike and my wife took everyone else. It was 45F. My son said he wasnt cold (I wasnt but just because im not cold doesnt mean a 6 yr old with no fat on them wont be

). He had fun. He loves to be able to look around at things without having something blocking his view lol. Well something other than my back haha.
*edit I should mention that I "layered" him with clothes/riding gear/safety gear because I wanted to make absolutely positive he would stay warm and wouldnt forget to hold onto me for those short trips. A warm body is safer than a freezing body.

Well good thing I wasnt riding today. I had all 4 of my kids and wife in the van. we were stopped at a stop sign on private property (target store lol) and were rear ended. 2 blonde chicks. They didnt hit us hard but were going maybe 7mph when they hit us. tore up the bumper on my van that was already damaged by wife backing into a tree last year but now its broken off instead of hanging on. Kinda cool watching it flap in the wind. Anyways the girls "ran". I got the liscence plate # though. caused my wife to have muscle spasms in her back. Hopefully those will go away soon. Other than that all of us are ok. Wonder if I can get that rear windshield wiper motor replaced now as part of the "Hit n Run" accident lol.

Well
Friday November 2nd
34F on the way into work tonight. was decent. gloves kept my hands warm. Supposed to drop down to 28 for the low so we shall see how the ride home is gonna be. I gotta go find something to clean off the corrosion on the female plug for my gloves though. Kind of annoying trying to get a good connection to keep my hands warm lol.

Wow been a while since I last posted here.
Well I have learned that shorted wiring can cause a battery to die and keep dieing even after you charge it to full.
Replaced the battery in the bike as well as repaired some corroded and broken wiring. I now get 13.5V at 2500RPM instead of 11.5V like I did before I put the bike up for the winter. So I greased up the chain started the bike up and went for about a 3 mile trip. Almost got ran over cause some idiot cager couldnt stop at the stop sign good thing I was paying attention and anticipated the idiot rolling through.
Rode to work 22F when I left to head home. Not horrible but I could feel a slight coldness through my clothing. Tonight, however, its supposed to rain so I left the bike at home because it is also not supposed to be above 40 when I get out. I can handle dry and cold but wet and cold is where I draw the line for riding lol. Hopefully I will be able to ride to work later this week but the forcast shows rain all week with lows in the 30's =[.

When the snow melts and the temp rises. WTF I rode my bike from work tonight and decided I would for once do the speed limit rather than doing 10mph over. So I am crusing at 55mph when I come up on a van and a ford escort doing 30mph (in a 55mph zone). OK I see a distance enough that I can pass so I do. I am doing prob 60 at this point when an suv going the opposite direction decides he wants to pass the vehicle in front of him. Now I was over in my lane and in the middle no less. I had to slam on my brakes and move over to as far right of the lane as I could just so the jackass wouldnt hit me and because of it he almost nailed the car behind me. BTW is 40F outside right now. Then I had a deer run out in front of me but thats no big deal as I saw the deer way before she ran. However not a mile later I am doing 60mph again when I see an old dodge truck pull up to the corner. i have the right away but I saw the idiots tires moving and sure enough the guy pulls right out in front of me. I mean im about 50 feet away from the dang corner. no oncoming traffic so I blew by him. Must of scared him cause he went into the ditch lol. I wasnt about to stop though. Now I am home

. I would have to say this has actually been my worst day ever riding.
