And for those of us that don't speak gibberish what exactly are you trying to imply?
Or were you just bored and felt like baiting a couple of friends?

how is this gibberish, i dont remember calling the grammer party at 2;30am on a friday so excuse me if i dont type perfect english on an internet forum youll have to get over it. or go back to looking at buzz's avatar more

OK, it's sat morning and back to what this thread was about :P
Torque baby. Thats the reason for big displacement. 600s don't have it, and it's far more fun for the long term to torque outta corners than to continuously dance on the gearbox. I don't need 150hp, but I do love 70'lbs of thrust. I've recently tried an '05 636 Kawi and after 8 seasons of big twin ownership, the engine did nothing for me. The chassis on the other hand..... :rocking:

Well, the size of the bike's body is usually the best indicator- but as for two engines torn off the machines and sitting on the floor? Eh.

I've always wondered whether people would even be able to tell what kind of bike mine is if I took off the front Honda fork brace and had the 'Shadow' logo painted over. Only a fairly educated biker would know, really, either that or someone who's owned one (I'll admit, the front end and the shape of the rear fender/sides are kinda of obvious).

Hehe. I like this one. Who knows what the difference between Horsepower and Torque is? Which is more important? Which kind of engine produces which kind of power? Who has more power, a 100lb rider on a 50hp 500lb Honda, or a 300lb rider on a 150hp 600lb Harley? (Not trying to insult the Harley guys or anything). If sportbike engines produce so much more power with fewer cc's, why don't they put some of them into cruiser bodies?

I've done my homework on that topic, and I've got a very well written (not by myself :laughing: ) article about the differences if anyone wants me to post a link.

I'll admit my 650 changes character with a passenger, and I might like the same exact ergos on a 1200, if I could find such a thing. Then again, I ride solo alot more, so it doesn't matter much. When I pump up the air in my fork and shocks for two up, if I forget and ride solo, I do wheelies on the one two upshift until I let some air out, so I guess there's enough power. I do understand the draw for more power, though. Chris's cbr hurricane has about 22 more horses than mine and weighs about 75 pounds less, and I can tell you I get the itch for it after I ride his a couple of blocks. His front sprocket is one tooth smaller, and the rear is two teeth up, so it really rips. I get it, I really do.

Maybe I'm still in glee stage, but I don't mind changing gears all the time. It's a lot of fun!

I dunno about outgrowing, I find the vt600 perfect for riding around the city, and long day trips. It's great on the highway too...only problem woud be touring. At 80+ it gets a little shaky, and quickly passing someone forget about it!
