Maxim refit

A new biker I would like to spruce up my first time bike; an 83 maxim 650. My bike is in good shape but some of the covers are beginning to loose their plating. Is chroming them out of the question?

never out of the question jus out of the wallet. theres a place here that does chrome but it cost out the a$$
