and i was surprised at the temp dif. it was warm riding over to work during the day. it was nice (almost a little chilly) riding back.

I've just recently had lazer eye sergery. And a side effect before it fully heals, is a halo or glowing of lights. So right now night riding is not too fun for me. The 'glows' cover up most of the road.

Not to mention my light is not too powerful.

Riding at night on familiar roads is cool. I can't do it on unfamiliar roads, 51-year-old eyes no longer have the night vision they once had - too slow to shift focus and too easily dazzled by oncoming bright lights. Driving unfamiliar roads at night in the car is no thrill either, but at least the car won't fall over on its side if I screw up!

+1 Night Riding

We don't do it often, but I'll take it any chance we get, especially rides that keep us out past sunset. DH is more cautious about it than I. His concern is reduced visibility, I think about random animals jumping out to the road or gravel/crap in the road on curves. Which are all very likely, after all, we see road gravel a lot during the day lol As for the animals, I don't know. Actually, the only animals ever to run in my path are cats and dogs, and that's been in the city.

Now, if I could just get my headlight pointed right. Right now I can read all the addresses and signs on people's front doors

I really like night riding. It takes a bit of caution but I think its pretty much my favorite time to ride.
