Best time to buy 'generally speaking' is at the end of the month.

Best time of year to buy is Nov/Dec.

So my answer to your question would be...Late November or Late December. Dealerships are trying to make their quotas for both the month AND the year at that point. Plus sales people are in the lean months (if you are in a location that doesn't have year-round riding) so they wanna deal.

with all the other great advice your being given remember most if not all bike dealers have there own web site. And having just purchasing another bike recently if you're not afraid to travel a bit you can save $1000's by perusing the prices of different dealers web pages. Maybe the prices are supose to be be same same but they are not.
