You forgot the LS650 and the GS500F on your list.

Yea, i'm leaning toward a more sportier bike. If i was to get any cruiser i wanted, i would get either the VMAXX or a Warrior..ahhha

But, if i get a really cheap bike like Ninja 500, i'd probly get a little dual sport, like a DR200 or a KLX250. One of my buddys has a DR650, and he's let me ride it a little on the street and woods, so i've sort of fell inlove with dualsports, thats why i put the KLR650.

You can tell i like the Multistrada; great view, wide bars, the looks grow on you, and the v-twin does too. They did a 620 cc version.

Do you get the Versys in the states? 650cc parallel twin. It will probably be my next bike, unless I go for a Tiger 1050, may be a bit too much for my skills though. The Multistrada 1000 was great, but wheelies in third gear are not my thing; it had its gearing reduced. Crazy.
yeah they stopped the 620 version last year I believe. I almost bought one but because it would have been my first bike I didnt want to drop it so I went with my used deluxe vlx. Kinda wish I would have gone the other route and actually bought the 620 =[.

Hi N.G.

I'm new to the site and just saw your post. I'm real close to picking up a new 2006 599 at a nearby Honda dealer but there's this little nagging voice in my head that says 'Get the SV instead!' So I would be very interested to know why you would go with the 599. There are so many good bikes out there, it's always a tough decision.

Chech the cost of the SV650 to the 599. Depends on which version of the 599 your are getting. The new Euro Version of the 599 is decked in spec, and a half class above the sv650 for power, brakes, suspension.

Do you want a smooth 4 or a lumpy twin? Do you want a standard (sv650) and sporty standard (sv650s) or a standard sporty (599)?

Much of the decision comes down to cost, dealer strength, personal preference. They are both great bikes.

Thanks for the post, Eddie. The 4 vs 2 question is a big one. I really liked the smoothness of the VFR I had.

While I'm not sure if you've seen one or not, I own one. There's another one within 10 miles of me. There's yet another within 75 miles of me.

They are somewhat rare but they pop up on craigslist.com a lot.
