Cool.
And that thing about being slow to pull out is all about gaining confidence that you won't stall or dump or overshoot and have to recover; you need a way bigger safety margin to account for those very real possibilities.
At 850 miles experience, most of it suburban, I'm still waiting for a gap that's about triple the distance I usually like when in a car.
She'll get there, slowly but surely. Good place for you to show patience and understanding and rack up some bonus points.

Amen Blair. I'm happy with her taking it slow. It's very nice to find something that we both enjoy and look forward to independently. She'll tag along to the driving range or the crappy sci fi movies I enjoy, but I can tell she's not really into it - the same way I'll garden and go on long walks with her. Motorcycle riding we both enjoy.

Thats great!
I'm taking my states Motorcycle saftey course next week (been riding for 10 years off and on but i figured it'd still be worth it) and the girlfriend is taking ti with me. She doesnt want a bike though. She's currently restoring a '75 200CC Vespa Rally. I can't complain.
But it definatly can be dangerous having your SO interested in teh same hobbies you are....

That's not a motorcycle per se, but it's close enough. and she's working on it even. Way cool.

Good deal!! I'm so glad that both my husband and I ride. We can have our own solo rides when we want, or we can head out together. It's great! Enjoy your time out with your gal!
Cheers,
Loonette

We ended up picking up hers in Pittsburgh. They've gotten out of control the past few years as far as price and availability. I think its become cool again to be on a scooter in the city. They are really neat though.
I guess most bikers seem to have problems with them, but I think they're great. I like anything with 2 wheels!
