JCviper,
I slid on my side then my knees but my pants show no markings and neither did my jacket. I still find it odd I came out without even a bruise.

Thats great to hear. I recently switched after 30 years from the classic leather motorcycle jacket to a Tourmaster Cortech jacket and protective pant. With kevlar in key locations! I noticed immediatly I could ride further into the year comfortably. Even in high 20's low 30's tempeture. I am able to ride as long as road conditions are not hazardous. I remember one day last year it was 35 during the daytime with a little mist. On the way home it was 28 degrees and that mist was freezing in spots by midnite. I crawled home at 15-18 mph praying while sliding this way and that and if I God got me home I was done for the season. I made it. And regardless how nice the daytime looked and all sunny...I was done until the next April/May.

I think my Timberland Pro boots took the worst of the damage with like a small scrape on the steel toe area.
Kinda glad I went with a TourMaster (even more so) after hearing this.

Tourmaster makes nice stuff. I have their gloves and boots, and no regrets. Both are extremely comfortable, and the boots just make me feel more protected than the steel toe redwings I used to ride in (which, by the way were incredibly comfortable).

My TourMaster is the thick leather jacket so that accounts for something.

Is there a time limit on getting an estimate for repairs? I haven't been able to get to the cycle shop and my accident was on Sunday. The last thing I want to hear is that I'm too late or something.

Being a new years topic, I'm guessing plenty people here gave up on their resolutions by now?
