Cool - there's a lot of knowledge here and these folks have helped me several times on lots of things from the very general to very specific. It is very nice to have a place where you can get the benefit of the knowledge of hundreds of people who have already done what you are about to do. They don't all agree all the time of course, but sometimes the adversarial discussions are where you learn the most. I reckon we all like motorcycles though! Get the bike you're comfortable with and be safe and you'll have a great time.

If you plan to finance anything find out if you have adequate credit FIRST. I was/am extremely let down when I found out that because I have "No Credit" I can’t even qualify for a $500 credit card. When I tried to put $2000 down on a GS500 and finance the rest NO bank would finance me :cry:

So I’m currently looking for a used bike that isn’t over priced ($2500 for a used 95 Ninja250... yeah right!).
