I clean my chains probably once a year using kerosene and a 1" paint brush.

Is lubing with it running really much of a concern other than lube flinging off? (and obv keeping the can away while you do it). Most accidents I know of are only cleaning with it in gear and running, then making the fun mistake of getting your fingers near the moving chain..

I got this for christmas, it's actually been REALLY usefull.

It's called the "Grunge Brush"

That thing sucks, mine broke on the 5th cleaning.

I clean my chain every 400 miles and more often if I rode in rain. I use a degrease to first clean the chain, then use a chain lube to lube 'er up.
