The correct terminology would be ridng pillion.

Why are you guys so insecure about riding pillion? I ride pillion (no not the bit{h pad. Calling it that shows no respect for your partner)) frequently. Sometimes it's nice for a change to look at the world go by.

What is it you are afraid of? That other guys might think you are a wuss?

Heck if my wife could or would drive I would sit on the back and drink beer.

Ain't happening.
I truly hope you're not far from home when it happens. Walking any distance by yourself can be a dogs...
Considering I weigh twice what she does........ balancing on the back of that Trophy, which is already top-heavy?

Nah. I'll walk.

I'm afraid of bringing me, her, and that pretty, plastic-clad bike (fairings = much $$$$) all down together! It's a loooong way down from the passenger seat of that thing. My wife, being the .....ummmmmm..... "positive thinker" that she is  thinks it wouldn't be a problem. Yeah, ok. She can go find some other 240lb guy to try it with. Not me.

Yeah, I'm a wuss all right. I'm a wuss about falling off top-heavy sport-tourers. And I just know, as soon as she had me on board, she'd find it "necessary" to test acceleration 2-up, or some such thing.....

I have a problem with riding on the back of anyone's bike ( I'm a control freak). If I had to do it however, riding on behind Mrs High_Side would be better than most....and more fun to hang on to as well

I've ridden many women...

oh, I see. Right.

Makes as much difference as being on the back of a male friends bike - the longer I ride the less comfortable I am as pillion

However

I think you guys are all missing out on the potential Biker-Sutra elements with your various O/H's here... Just remember to wear a helmet... :)

lol "dog" i dont think thats gunna get any of the babes in here gooey in the fork :)

there is absolutely no way i would get on the back of anyone without a pretty good pretext to do so (ie. my bike broke down on a ride in the middle of nowhere etc etc) and I would especially not get on the back of my wife or any other girl i know that rides (its a man thing only a man would understand)....I can get myself into enough trouble on the roads I dont need any extra help !!!!!!

Having said that, although I dont prefer to travel 2 up.... I will gladly stick almost anyone on the back of me, i would also prefer that the "anyone", to be a girl holding on rather than a dood, I dont like doods holding on to me that close or worse sliding up with their nuts riding into my back.....yuck.

only as a last resort. IE i dumped my bike and broke a hand or wrist (not that that's been too good at stopping me in the past  ) and therefore couldn't ride. I've ridden "dog" before, it's no fun for me, I prefer to be in control of the ride, be it car or bike. I can't stand being a passenger in ANYTHING.
