I want to hurt my roomates (rant)
I dunno if it's cuz it's late or I'm really slow today, but I read like a third of the way down scratching my head trying to figure out "procreating"!
I empathize! My second worst roomie was an older guy, perpetually drunk, would come home from his job as a BARTENDER and saw the key around in the front door lock trying to open the door, we had to replace three door handles. Then he'd bounce down the hall from wall to wall to his room. One night I heard some crashing and banging, woke me up, but I swear I didn't care if he was having a heart attack or something by then. Apparently he had a serious black out, pulled down the towel racks, peed all over the bathroom floor instead of in the toilet, then asked me in the morning what had been "done" to his bathroom....
The last one would leave the inside door to the garage open (off his bedroom) and food and trash all over the floor, which brought rats in the house. Rat ate the carpet when he finally learned to shut the door, trying to get back in to get more bananas and crackers. We had to shoot the rat, then it crawled up into a hole in the gargae wall to die, fortunately right before we had to move out.
Which is worse, living with your MOM or with a roommate????
***ROOMMATE!!!****
Good luck, hang onto your sanity a little longer, vent when you need to.

haha rats suck. Shot one of those little hockey when i lived in maine at my dad's. cracked it in the back of the head with a bb. It fell back into it's hole and it's denmates pushed it back out when it finished twitching. And yes, roomates can be worse than living with your mother, not that that's any picinic at this point. And "procreating" is the profanity filter's way of saying ef you see kay ing.

I got "procreating", it just took me a few sentences in, and it's one of my fave words, too.
Rats do suck, huh?! It was such a bold little bugger too, the one that kept coming in, and before we moved out I had to cut a piece of carpet out of the closet to patch the hole it made because it was a rental. BB guns were made for shooting rats, but they are tough little rodents. So the rat's roomies shoved him out, huh? Interesting. We had them in the attic, running races at 3am in the morning. We'd hear the traps go off, then have to get up into the attic to go find the bodies. Fun.
So Geoff, which is worse, rats or the roomies? I vote for the roomies. Maybe it would help you stay sane to realize they are just human versions of rats and not take it personally that they are so obnoxious, because, well, they are RATS.

yes, rats, that fits them perfectly. And like blues said, less than 1 month!
On a lighter note, one of them was playing DS on the internet. I chose that time to crash the wireless on them. Then forgot I wasn't on the neighboors wireless and brought my own internet down... Oh well, it was worth it.
