Out of the 10 or 11 motorcycles I've owned none were the same brand. The yamaha RD-400 and the honda i ride now were the most trouble free.

I had a string of redheads (including two wives) before I finally smartened up five years ago and found a blonde. Life has been very good since and the wounds are finally starting to heal.

So is that a joke about finally moving up to a Harley?

I did consider the road king, and softails, but I think the Vic looks so much better, and it way out performes the HD's. You also get much more for your money and I didn't want another cookie cutter bike. I'm not trying to bash HD, it's just that the Vic was right for me.

No, it's a summary of my experiences with redheads. Am I moving too fast for you?

BTW, I didn't "move up" to a Harley - I simply traded in my Kawi retro cruiser for a Harley touring bike. I don't look at it as moving up or down when buying/trading, it's just a process of getting another bike to me.

I think that the Vics look cool, but Harleys sure sound way better. Now if you could make the Vic sound tougher, then Harley would have real competition

Have you ever heard a Vic with pipes? Mine is loud as hell. Besides, I'm not gonna spend a ton of money for a bike that sounds loud but breaks down and leaks oil all the time. Harley's to me are just way overpriced for what you get. Vics out perform them are are a higher quality bike, and they're American made too. Like I said, I don't have any problems with what anyone rides. If you rode with me and my friends you would think you were in a bike show cause we ride all makes and models, metric, American, sport bikes, and cruisers. I just personally think that with HD you're paying too much for a bike whose quality should be much higher for the money you spend on them, you're just paying for a name IMHO.

I have nothing against vics at all, I think they look great. They appear to be reliable. I have never to my knowledge heard one with aftermarket pipes. Most of the ones I heard (all two of them) even when wound out weren't that loud.

I was under the impression that Harley had made great strides improving their overall quality and reliability. You don't see many newer ones broke down. Well at least I don't

I am more of a metric guy, only because I prefer a standard riding position, Buell, Harley, and Victory don't really make a standard bike, so I am going metric.

Interesting. Do you have actual experiences to back up these statements or are you just another parrot with more money than brains? My guess is the latter. Tell me, without looking at your watch, how long have you been riding?
