Hmmm...when I was in no position to move my bike anywhere after an unfortunate meeting of the asphalt, the police said they would call someone to tow it for me. They never asked if my insurance would cover it, they just did it, and then we paid the towing company for overnight storage and for taking it to the shop.

If they have your bike, you probably just need to pay for the towing and you'll get t back.

As for hitting the curb...didja fixate on it?

Its going to cost you more to get it back from the police then just paying the towing charges yourself....Or had some friends help with it. Bad idea to let the police take it. :roll: Good luck on getting it back.. :shock:

Not sure where the op is located, but in Washington State if you do not have your motorcycle endorsement and the police get involved, your bike is immediately impounded. Did he really have his endorsement? Is there more to the story than he stated?

My town is full of 1-way streets. I guess one of the first things I need to do once I start riding is to practice the U. The cops are not getting my bike!
