I ride mine everyday, so I'm not that concerned about it being spotless. I don't know how much time it takes, but I know it takes at least a six pack and when I'm done I have to wait until tommorow to ride it.
On the other hand, I've got a neighbor with a huge chrome covered cruiser. I KNOW he spends more time polishing that thing than he does riding it.
It all depends on how far you want to take it.
