$3900 OTD? Really? Where?

The new 250 Ninja could be the most popular bike I have ever seen. I'm extremely jealous of the guy who picked up the bike for $3900 OTD... my gf has been looking for one of these bikes for months and nobody sells them (in Southern California) for $3900 OTD. Most shops don't even have any new 250s! $4600 OTD is the lowest price that I have seen with a bike on the floor. Sometimes, there are ads with it selling for $4400. When I call, they are always sold out (although that seems like too much).

Can someone tell me about a shop that is not screwing around (many places charging $5k+) with the price of these new bikes. I'd buy two (in cash) tomorrow for $3900 OTD if I could.

I ride a Honda 650 dual-sport and never have considered riding a 250 Ninja, but hoards of new riders and commuters are driving the price of this bike through the roof.

Sorry I'm a new but what's OTD? Out the door?

If that's the case I'm not surprised because the ninja 250 is really popular and it was super easy to sell. I'm sure they'd charge extra for people to have a beautiful looking bike. I loved my old ninja but I gotta admit the styling on the new one is sharp.

Just about everything I am reading about them has dealers flying off the shelves, marking them up, and can't keep them in stock.

gonna be bike of the year.

It's a nice starter bike and they are pretty much sold out unless you get real lucky and find one hidden away somewhere at this point :)

My wife just picked one up (see avatar) and is due to take her msf course this weekend. Would be nice if it were fuel injected rather than carbs but that would have added a bunch to the sticker price. They went FI in Europe but not in North America - maybe in the next couple of years??

The new EX250 is a very good looking little bike.

As for selling smaller bikes. My first bike was a honda CX500 and I made money when sold it, didn't have to drop any money into it and sold it for more than I paid.
