No, it's fine.

It could be bad to jump your motorcycle with a running car, but there's even some debate about that.

From what I know, it's not covered under the same warranty as the bike. However, the battery might have its own warranty. I was told that mine had a warranty for a few months (not the year as the bike did) and they switched it under the warranty. Unfortunately, the new one seems to be kapult now too.

Most manufacturers offer a 30 day replacement from date of purchase on the battery. There are SOME that do 6 months, but that's very rare.

My second car the battery lasted 9 years :D. My Mini vans battery is 1 month shy of being on 7 years old.
