if it revs up wit starting fluid it means ur getting spark, even if not at the right time, and the compression can't be that bad, so id hesitate to go into the electrical system yet.

you have to have a plug in the left carb somewhere
put ur finger on the spark plug hole and crank it. if ur finger gets wet, ur getting gas. if your finger gets wet then go into electrical, check points first.
if your finger is dry, you're not getting gas, check the vacuum hose to that carb and re-clean. let the carb soak in carb/choke cleaner overnight MINUS ALL THE RUBBER. carb/choke cleaner damages rubber.

good luck

and wrenchwench it REALLY sounds like you need to sync ur carbs.

Compression can ignite starting fluid. So can mis-timed spark. And you could have a blocked jet in that carb.....

You can do some testing or keep shooting in the dark.

So I finally figured out what was wrong with my bike. The petcock was cloged on one of the feedlines. I was looking for a new part and saw that there is supposed to be a filter system on the petcock that was missing from mine. Put in the new petcock (and a new battery) and everything runs better than when I bought the bike.
