Is this a recommendation or a requirement to check the valves at 600 miles?

And if it is required, I would assume that it is a lock nut adjuster instead of shims. In that case, it should be an absolute cake to adjust it(assuming the tolerances are off), especially on a twin.

Maybe you folks should talk to factory tech reps ! 600 mile check like one fellow mentioned is a glorified oil change. And that is all that I had. And as for valve adjustments, that 600 miles has been changed to 4,000 miles, and that came from the factory, not the blood sucking dealers !

My service cost a lot more but with all the plastic they have to remove to do the service, the difference is all labour related...
