I run a double bubble on mine, it pushes the wind just over me head (nice), which is awesome on long treks.

As a side bonus to my type of screen, my fuel economy is better, cause with the stock screen my chest takes the full force and creates a drag.

As for trying to get out of the wind blast, especially for new riders, it is concerning just how much force is applied to you at speed when your knew, dont worry, it becomes second nature and you get used to it, infact, a good constant wind blast on a sporty can take some of the pressure off your wrists as the wind helps to sit you up a bit with out the effort required by your arms :)

Just bought an F4 Customs Shield for my FLHT

I met these guys with their famly business out at the 105th and I bought a shield from them. They had a crazy looking display with 0000 steel wool on a windshield wiper and it wasnt scratching the shield. Great Clarity, no distortion and best of all im cleaning it with a good ole paper towel and windex!

I googled F4 today and found this thought it was pretty cool....

I highly recommend these shields.

 no i don't work for these guys...

I’m a fairly new rider too. New as of this past spring. I finally broke down and put a windshield on about a month ago. I definitely can feel the difference. It especially seems to help when an oncoming truck passes me. I don’t get the delay then the Wham from the turbulence I use to get without the windshield. I’m glad I put one on.

I used a Spit fire windshield for one year in my M50 Boulevard, it was pretty good, but one week ago I rode in a Vulcan Nomad with a big windshield and is a lot of difference ! I prefer the big one... :)

You are absolutely correct!
If Vinnie( the original poster), went for a ride on a 35 degree day with a windshield he would probably roast!
