Apart from practicing emergency stops occasionally when I hit a nice piece of empty, hazard-free road, the only practice I do is part of my ordinary riding when I'm alone. If I have to do a U-turn for example, I always treat it like an exercise, checking my handling and use of controls and thinking about them afterwards. If I don't take the turn well, I might repeat it.

I practice a quick stop and swerve on every ride. Many times unintentionally but also on my second to last street on my way home.

I used to practice once a month and go really crazy but now that I'm teaching 5-8 BRC's a month I find that I don't have time yet seem to stay remarkably in good practice

I've gone to a parking lot once in a while over the past year to practice a bit. I still need some work with certain things (u-turns :x ), but that's why I practice.

Hard emergency stops then swerving to go around obstacle are part of my daily routine of checking the bike. Check oil, lights, tire pressure(front tire has a slow leak I have to get fixed) etc.. Be aware ride with care. :D

Well, hey, if you are teaching a BRC, you get to show the students how to do at least 1/2 of the exercises! At least that was how my BRC worked - one of the instructors did each lesson as an example while the other described what the person was doing.

Damn, I still don't turn my head on some turns. But on on-ramps/off-ramps I always remember.

Damned dirty declining radius turns!

I typically double, so I get to run through every exercise once a weekend.

OK you may laugh but I still take classes even after riding for nearly 40+years. I take the advance courses every couple of years even if they may seem the same, I tend to learn alot from the other students...watch and learn. As far as practicing, yes I do. My friends likes to get together a few times a year and have BBQ's we practice obsticles (like the police kind) and various bike games that require agility and concetration. We have a blast and it really helps alot.

I only go to parking lots when it's time to stop at that establishment

There's a battle within myself as to the reasons why.

I wander onto empty parking lots every once in a while to practice my low speed stuff. There's something very satisfying about going in tiny circles ;)

Nice! So you get to play and practice while showing everyone what they should do.

Well, it would take me two years before I could be an instructor for the BRC. And to get on-topic - I don't practice at all - except for my daily commute.
