If I've sat through 2 cycles without a change, I run the light. Traffic permitting of course.

I'd say you could kick cars with a magnet on your boot, but that might be a bad idea.

It sucks when the light doesn't cycle because nobody is tripping it. There are time where one has to do the "hop off, hit crosswalk button and scurry back to the bike" dance. :wink:

or you might have to push the cross walk button, if there is no loop.

THat is if the stupid thing is actually wired. Here in NYC most of them are disconnected and in Long Island there aren't many traffic lights with crosswalk buttons.

After some e-mails to town officials it seems I'm able to trip more lights than before. Those things probably needed some calibration.
