Ride Safely
I learned about earrings the hard way when I ouched my ears taking my helmet off when I got to work ( I am a high school teacher). I was in a hurry and just kept on trucking to my classroom. I didn't understand why the students at my door were staring at me like I was a freak until I realized I had blood dripping off an earlobe and down my shirt. Now I take my earrings to work with me in a little baggie tucked into my pocket.

I agree about skipping the hair gel for the ride- for pleasure or going to work! Before I figured this out- and my hair is short- I arrived everywhere looking like a nuclear blast. I keep hair gel and extra make-up at work if I need to to some major reconstruction. Otherwise, I don't care- hats are great!

earrings stay on, I like the lobster claw style they stay on and do not tend to fall off or get in a wrong position that would cause pain. I also have my hair very long so it stays in a braid in the back, can't do a french braid it makes my head hurt in the helmet (pressure point). Makeup sure, just mascara.

Ihaven't read all of the replies, but I wear leverback earrings, and no probs whatsoever. Unexpected bonus of those being the only kind of earrings I wear!
