Thanks! I'm of the same mind.
Yeah, I'm really not a sport bike enthusiast, nor do sport tourers really spin my wheels. I like cruising the sweepers and looking at the scenery more than burning up the road, but I do want enough initial torque & HP to keep up with my friends' Harleys and Magnas and the like off the line, so a bigger engine is a must.

Incredible power, especially moving up from a 650! Now I just have to convince my wife that the mods are necessities.

Ever try the Kawasaki Vulcan 900? It's pretty cheap, comfy (subjective) and good on power.
