Anyone ordered any leather items from motodirect.com ?? I've never seen a leather riding jacket for $100 before. It also says it has a 105 day 105% guarantee. Does that mean I get more money back than what I paid for it if I don't like it?

Is that place legit?

I haven't ordered any leather jackets from them but I got a pair of mesh pants with armor and a mesh jacket with armor and leather on the shoulders. I also got 2 helmets. Good quality stuff and at a good price. Shipping is fast via. UPS.

Well, I just bought a leather jacket yesterday. Might sound crazy for Florida, but it's perforated, and I don't sweat now in my fake leather jacket with no vents, so I figure it will be okay. We'll see. Didn't get to ride today. Will know tomorrow. And with these horribly warm days we've been having it will be the perfect test. I thought it was a great deal and couldn't pass it up .

Let me know how you like the leather. I bought the mesh because of riding in the heat of DE in the summer and the heat of FL in the fall and spring.

The perforations do help. I get a good bit of airflow inside while I'm moving. I was pretty comfortable.

I live in a rural area, so I don't have much (any) traffic on my commute. If you live in a big city it may be more of an issue. Otherwise, it's not bad. It was about 90 today when I rode with it.

When in Florida I live in Land O Lakes. Not really the city but a lot of traffic on rt 41. I'm not sure where I'll ride when I get down there as this will be my first year with the Maj. in FL. I'm hoping to learn some back roads along the Gulf coast and go exploring.

I have to say that i've really let my guard down since I started to ride. I started off with a mesh/padded jacket and a 3/4 helmet with a flip, jeans , my Harley riding boots and riding gloves.

I've since then dropped the mesh jacket and ride most of the time in a t-shirt or light colored long sleve shirt for protection from the sun, a half helmet and no gloves. I still stick to the jeans and boots. I've fallen victim to the it's too damn hot outside for all of that stuff. I have to admit the mesh jacket was not as hot, just a poor fit and too bulky.

Update: I bought a bunch of stuff from Motodirect.com and everything except the boots (which I am returning) is excellent quality. I bought gloves, a mesh jacket, mesh pants, and a rain suit. I could not get over how good the jacket is and how cool it keeps me during the heat of summer. Tremendous value. All my sportbike buddies can't believe the prices and quality. I say go for it.

I am also in SW FL, and I try to wear gear but when it's 95 and not a cloud in the sky, it's very uncomfortable. I always wear a helmet, but if I'm just going back and forth to work, usually cargo shorts and my work shirt. If I go out riding, I go with jeans, good boots, gloves, and if it's too hot for my leather jacket I atleast put my vest on over my shirt. Until I can fork over a couple hundred bucks for a breathable jacket, that's how I roll.
