The TL1000 is very similar, even some parts can be swapped. Was the 650 a SV650S (faired) or naked? That can make a big difference. The naked is a standard and sits pretty upright, making it a lot more comfortable. The S model is more sports bike.

And yes Ozzy. I would need quite a large bike to make it look normal for me, but I'm just not willing to sacrifice the extra weight. I love having a bike that weighs so little. So much fun to throw around through the turns.

It is the faired version. And now that I think about it, she had the bike lowered and some of the seat foam chopped off to make it easier for her feet to reach the ground. Her only issue now is that the bars are a bit of a reach, but that can be solved with a set of risers.

Cool....BUT,

With a bigger bike comes bigger Power = weightless when the throttle is on! Can't beat CC's! After a while a bigger bike seems normal, I I suggest you Hire a bigger bike when your ready & give it the Herbs! Within reason of course

well, with your riding position, i guess you should be the one to figure it out because everyone hs different lenghts and styles of driving. to earn that, you should get along and get used to riding your bike. thats it! enjoy!

As far as some bikes looking small, my mother took one look at my GS500e and replied- Why I'll bet your sister could ride that. My sister never even sat on a motorcycle. Even though it's a small motorcycle doesn't mean it's not to be taken seriously.

Yeah....I had mine up to 160KPH/100MPH!!
