And with that 6 gallon tank... wow I probably wouldn't have to fill up for 3 - 4 weeks out of $25Ninja Geoff wrote:i think the diesel KLR still beats the "fudge" out of $ per mile compared to the stock one, even with the much higher price of diesel to gasoline.Shorts wrote:lol I was just taking the angle that if you bought a motorcycle to escape gas prices and they went down, I need to buy a motorcycle that runs on diesel so that the diesel prices would come down.from http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/p ... dition.htmThe USA Marines Corp (USMC) have taken the popular Kawasaki KLR650 Miliary Edition and together with Hayes Diversified Technologies (HDT) of California converted it to run either diesel or aviation kerosene fuel. It runs a very impressive 120 miles per gallon at 80 miles per hour.

Gas Prices?
Well, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but we're still getting 93 octane Ultra unleaded for $.72 per gallon. No, that isn't a typo....seventy two cents per gallon.

Well, that didn't last long. Prices have gone up over ten cents a gallon since my first post. It was $3.49 when I had to fill up my gas gusler yesteday. Now I can hardly wait for the class to take my M50 out on the road.

MTT, reinventing the crotch rocket.
They have their 2003 bike on sale now for $135000.00 not to mention all the other things they are not mentioning in the adds.
The only thing I can see wrong with the bike is that the exhaust is aimed out to the side and designed to dissipate heat quickly. I would want one with the exhaust aimed back and up a little as to confine the heat comming out so all I would have to do is to look in my rear view mirror and watch the paint pealing, and the plastics melting on the car tailgating me.
I have been into radio control airplanes for a while, and turbines hit the market for them in the mid 90's. To buy a turbine you have to go through a class on how to run it safely. You also have to prove you have a certain level of flying skills before you can go for your endorsement.

yeah supposedly gas is going up because of the Georgia/Russia war. wtf does that war have to do with the price of oil.
With that said I am looking at a chevy avelanche for winter driving (yes I said that word cause its getting darker every morning I get out of work). No gas prices dont worry me right now. If they were $10/gallon I might start worring but I want a vehicle that I can take my family if I have to AND move big stuff should I need to. Plus this thing, should I get it, would sit 95% of the summer lol.

How about those in the Subaru lineup? My old one was great in winter with its AWD and was pretty good with gas... of course the car is close to 18 years old.ofblong wrote:yeah supposedly gas is going up because of the Georgia/Russia war. wtf does that war have to do with the price of oil.
