Armor all has a real nasty thing about not being used any more and it'll crack whatever you USE to use it on.

I used Armor All once on this bike - and a light application at that. It was slick as goosepoop until it got all wiped away with my jeans. I wouldn't use anything on my seat.

I better go ask my bike cleaner/mechanic......
He said leather conditioner, he said he treats it like its leather.

I've been using it on my car dash for a decade.

That doesn't make sense--leather conditioner has oils or waxes which the leather absorbs. Vinyl doesn't absorb.

I know, its fine when you keep using it. Its when you stop using it that it goes bad. I used it on my trucks for a long time as well. Then we stopped using it....you ought to to see the dash on the $32k Dodge Diesel 4x4 now :frusty:

I know I don't slip and slide off of my seat and all of our bikes look awesome. (I do slip a little on the back of ST but it is how the seat is designed). He purchases the conditioner and cleaners made just for the seat from the Harley dealer. But I know in the past I have gotten stuff from the local Auto parts store which he does not like.
:( Sorry about the dash, Short.

Vinyl has it's own oils in it that when they get leached out over time will crack. Armor All has silicone oils in it which are not the correct oils for vinyl. That is why vinyl cracks when you stop using Armor All on it, much faster than not doing anything at all to the vinyl.

I have seen a product by Meguiars/Mirror Glaze that is for leather and vinyl. On the web site www.meguiars.com it is under the motorcycle section.

Has anyone used this?

I just use the leather conditioner I bought at the local Harley shop (local as in 3/4 mile away from my house).
