The Virago 250 fits my short girlfriend better than the Rebel. While the Honda has a slightly lower seat height it has plastic bits directly under the seat that stick out, forcing your legs out and making the seat feel higher. The Virago is very skinny at the saddle so while she couldn't flat-foot the Rebel, she could flat-foot a Virago 250.

Uhh, anyone have a Virago 250 they are selling?

The Rebel is a true workhorse. With almost 75,000 on mine. I have never owned a more dependable motorcycle and it's 2nd only to my toyota tercel that I've driven for 15 years. There is no better money spent then on a Rebel period. Your only consideration is your inseam. My 32" is it's upper most limit. I put a hiway bar on and solved that problem for the long haul, but my next Rebel will get forward controls. The bike is worth whatever accessory you put on it for comfort.

That is the reason my wife got the Virago instead of the rebel. That battery cover sticks out making it harder to flat foot it.

She will be selling her Virago next year when she upgrades but she really likes that bike.

I have a 2007 Virago 250cc. I've been looking into upgrading perhaps next year. To be honest at an average 94mpg, I'm hard pressed to give up this bike which has been perfect for commuting. Good luck on your search. I'm sure you're friend will love it.
