The EN-1 is a good one, I would stay with some lite. 500cc to 750cc. The Buell Blast is good and so is the 883. The 993 flet cramp to me and I am 6ft too. the EN 500 is a good one, there is alot out there you will just have sit on some and see what one is you.

I agree -- somewhat -- except for your assessment of the Buell Blast. Or as it's commonly called: The
B-LAST!
I love Buells, but I have NEVER ridden a motorcycle as horribly SLOW as the Blast!!! Seriously, it can't get out of its own way!!! A friend bought one and she out grew the performance in less than a week of ownership! And she had never ridden before!
When she asked me to ride it, I immediately brought it back thinking there HAD to be something wrong with the engine! She, then, had her dealer check and double-check it, and it "performed to spec!?"
Then, when she tried sell it, it took her months and she practically had to pay someone to take it! She bought it brand new from the Harley dealership where she worked, but she still took a SERIOUS bath on it trying to ditch the thing! Apparently, a lot of people know of its reputation!
She ultimately bought a Ninja 250, loves it and is now considering a Monster 696. And she's ready for one. The little Ninja has been the perfect stepping stone! The Blast, however, was a totally wasted step!

I rode a Blast and it was not all that bad, AS long as you don't compare it to any sport bike . But I think it is alot better than a Honda shadow. I also rode some really old bike these bike had 25 or so hp and the blast has a little more then them. so it all in the way you look at it. It is a good frist bike for a new rider but it is to slow for you or me.

Hmmm, still just one post almost 6 months later. I wonder if hally ever ended up buying a bike. Anyway, if I was lucky enough to be that long of leg, I'd love to get a 250-400cc supermotard.
