Nope, the riding positions are completely different with the bars much lower and the pegs much higher on the Monsters. They are comfortable in their own way, but not easy chair comfy like the Multi's. Coming off of your Shadow, the S2R will feel like a missle. They can be had quite cheap these days too and cost far less than the 4 valver to maintain.
Also the seat is much lower on the S2R than the Multi. The S2R feels so tiny because of that. I test rode the Hyper(which is based on the Multi) and the S2R1K back to back and the S2R1K felt soooo low, I was flat footed with my knees bent quite a bit on the S2R1K, while on the Hyper, I couldn't flat foot both feet. If you are a fairly new rider that learned on a cruiser, that is something to think about.
